Standard

For every steps I took, for every new things I did, I never really stuck to the plan I made. So, I'm questioning myself, why does this happen?

This is actually a very complicated question to answer. I need to dig deep into me to now the answer. I think one of the reasons is because I easily overthink about something. When I do something, I overthink this won't work. Those thoughts stop me from actually doing the thing.

So, how to manage this? In the book How to Not Die Alone? The author taught me about the difference between Maximizer and Satisficer. I tend to be more Satisficer in most things, but in some other things (like this thing) I'm more into Maximizer.

The book also give me a lesson on how to be more Satisfier. It's simply to have your own standard. Don't follow anyone standard but make your own. For most of standards is to become happy. So, let's take this as your new standard, once you do something new, and you're happy about it, that's enough. You don't need to seek something out there to make you happier. Because you already reached your won standard.

You get it? Make standard, follow it. Once enough is enough.
