What is the meaning of life?

Lately, I was watching a video on YouTube. That video told us about the principle of life and how to answer a question, "What is the meaning of life?"

Like it or not, we live searching for a meaning. It portrays in every modern pop culture. Could be movie, anime, etc.

In anime, especially shonnen, it's common that the main character has a great ambition to be something. Naruto, for example, he wants to be a Hokage (a leader of his village). This great ambition has brought him to work harder and never give up.

Me, as one of the audiences, of course got an influence from those modern pop culture. Every single day in my life, I was wondering, "What is my purpose? My ambition? My biggest goal?"

Life searching for a meaning.

But, did you know, life itself has no meaning. At least this is what the video says. He used philosophy as his main reason. Nihilism is one of the philosophy that says life has no meaning. So, we need to accept it and go with it.

You may disagree with this way of thinking, but for me, I don't know why, damn I agree. This way of thinking is the only way that could answer all my hesitation about life.

Like I said, everyday I was looking for my purpose, but at the same time I was thinking, "Why do we need to have a purpose? Isn't to survive in life is all we need?"

For me now, I'm not looking for a purpose or big ambition anymore. But life without a goal isn't a life that I wanted anyway. So, that video suggests to have some small goals, instead.

This resonates with me too. I'd never really thought of going to Bali, but I end up here. Deep down in my heart, I had a small goal, I wanted to go to Bali, but I don't know how. But then, the universe gave me the way. So here I am.

This way of life is way better than chasing for a big goal. I tried it before but it never worked. So, for me now, I think I'm looking for small goals that I could achieve in the next one or two months.
