Bali and books

One of the things that is interesting from Bali, so far, in my opinion isn't the beaches. Which, to be honest, the beaches were great. Some of them has given me a great experience and a great time. As someone who had rarely been to beaches before, beaches in Bali were the best. But as I said, I'm not gonna talk about beaches here.

I'm gonna talk about... books.

One thing that I hope had existed in my hometown is library. Lots of local libraries with an easy access. Well, there are some book store actually there, but instead of focusing on selling books, their main focus mostly on school equipment and some other fancy tools for student and worker. Well, it's understandable because reading rate in this country is pretty low.

But I still hope to have a library near my place and I can visit once and several times. And my hope was granted here in Bali.

In this place, there are still some book stores. What makes it different was in my hometown normally book store is in a mall and have minimal space, but here they have their own building, three floors, and mostly books. Such a place that I thought was just a dream, but here's a reality.

And what makes it even better is they don't just have one this type of building, but several. Means they still have some more!

Another thing is, Bali not just have books but also library. I just realized after my online friend from Instagram (read my previous post) asked me to meet up in a coffee shop with books. Unfortunately, that place wasn't opened yet, which made us to move to another place, not so far. Which made me also realized that actually Bali has several this kind of coffee shop with books. Which also means, we can come by, order some coffees, and have a great time in the library later.

I only dreamed about the library near my living place, but Bali could make it even better: a library with a coffee shop in one place!

Forget about beaches, I'm gonna spend my whole time here in Bali in those library.
