To run faster, you need to run slower
That is the quote I got from a YouTube running tutorial. Because I'm no pro runner, I used to run in a quick pace. I thought, the faster you run is better. But the truth is contradictory the opposite.
So, I tried to run in a slower pace and small steps. You know what did I get? And how far I did run? I ran 10km (6.2 miles) for the first time!
I know I will get 10km later, or someday. But I didn't expect I will get it today. Besides, I thought 10km was harder, and I wasn't in condition to reach that number yet. With my usual pace, ran 7km already felt like dead.
I doubted it first, but I tried it anyway. I ran in slower pace. I reached 7km and my body still felt so light. 8km and 9km, I can do it in a blink of an eye. Now I felt like unstoppable. The only thing that stopped me from running was my fatigue. I couldn't help but to stop. My leg's hurt. But before that I tried to ask for a favor to myself. Let's keep running untill we reach 10km or all of these would be useless.
After I reach 10km, I stopped running and got back home. I couldn't believe it I could reach this far. The slower your pace, the faster you will get. This is the greatest running tip that I hope I knew it earlier.
Now I think, the same principle not just work in term of running. But also in general. To run faster, you need to run slower, we can put it any contaxt of living. I'm not a successful businessman, a entrepreneur, or owner of something. So, if I told you, you will get success with this method, that would be completely lie.
All I can say is a simple practical. For instance like doing your task. How are you normally do your task? We don't like tasks, so we do it as quickly as possible right? But this quick pace often creates some mistakes. So, we need to re-doing it. Why don't you do it a slower pace and do it thoroughly. You might did it a bit longer, but there's no need to do it twice. So, you have more time to do another thing, or get some rest.
Thanks me later ;')
