Getting lost again

Have you ever been in a place that you know nothing about, and you are completely lost? I have just experienced it.

I was planning to go to Canggu beach on my own. The time I go there, everything went smoothly. One thing I didn't notice or I stupidly didn't well prepare about is my phone's battery. It's getting low. Before I went there, it was still 21%, by the time I arrived, it turned into 17%.

The original plan in Canggu was actually pretty simple. I went there, do my college task, and go back home. But just like anything else in life, things doesn't always go as we planned. The signal lost, it didn't work well. So I couldn't do my task. Then what? Going back home? But time still young. I changed the plan, I was looking for some foreigners to talk to. Then there's another problem, no foreigner I can ask to talk to. So I ended up sitting down on the beach day dreaming, and killing time. Untill the time to go back came. It was 4 p.m. I hope I could arrived at home at 5 p.m, or at least before.

But the thing, again, didn't go smoothly. My gps signal didn't work as expected. I think it's due to the signal lost. And sooner or later, the phone is dead. Now I'm completely lost. At first, I'm scared. But I tried to keep my mind under control. Plan A was to look up to the road sign. But the road was complicated, besides not every road has the sign. Okay move on to plan B. Use a traditional gps maps: ask local people for direction. You know what, plan B worked so well. The locals were really friendly and welcome. They showed me the direction toward home.

That's the story, even though I felt really scared, at first. Getting lost in some place that you have no idea about is surely terrifying. But thank God, the locals were kind and helped me so much. Many thanks Bali people!
