How to Talk to Anyone

Talk to anyone, especially someone new or stranger always been my problem. I think the problem is I don't know what to talk about, and I'm afraid they will judge me somehow. We're going to deal on the second problem later, but for now let's focus on the first problem.

What to talk about?

I think what we talk about will become automatic once we're used to talk to anyone. Day in day out. The problem is whenever I wanted to talk to anyone, there's like an urge to excuse myself. I don't know why. I used to be a guy who's always been talkative and talk to anyone was easy for me. But recently, it feels like a nightmare.

Did something happen to me? I don't think so. I think I was just lazy to start up a conversation with anyone. That has stopped me from having a conversation with a new person or stranger. So now, I need to force myself out from my comfort zone. Talk to anyone like you life depends on it.

To make it easier, I have a guideline on what topic we need to bring to the table.

First, we can start a conversation with whatever we have on mind. Build from there. Then, we can ask about three basic topic Family, Job, and Hobby. After that, we can start to tell our own similar experience. This would help them to be more talkative. We can talk about our vulnerable things, then we ask, do you have similar experience? We can ask directly a deep question, but most of the time people uncomfortable to talk about that. That's why, we need to open ourselves first.
