Regulate Negative Emotions

A minute ago I just finished reading a book about psychological things. One of the things that spark my interest was about how we regulate our negative emotions. It's important to regulate negative emotions because if we keep it for too long, it's about time to explode.

Some people do it through writing journal. Well, I do like writing, but I don't think writing is my thing to regulate those emotions. I just don't like to write my own emotions. I don't feel comfortable about it.

I remember when I broke up with my girlfriend couple years ago, that's the time when I started running regularly. Every sadness, anger, and any other negative feelings I had, I put it into every steps I took on running. And you know what, It worked to regulate my negative emotions.

Up untill now I still do running regularly. Even though not daily. But still do. Especially when I had a negative thoughts, running could instantly solved it. Not exactly solve the problem, though. But at least could help me still alive.
